Why are there weird blotches of toner on my printouts?

Towards the end of a cartridge’s life cycle, you can get weird blotches on the paper. Your printer probably says the cartridge still has toner available. This is often overflow from the waste toner chamber. Every time you print, some toner is swept off the page and into the waste toner chamber. When it gets full it starts to spill out onto the paper. Your only option is to change the toner cartridge.
